Dorian Randolph
Growing up in such a rich musical backround has finally caught up to me and I'm now flourishing in the career I've always set out to obtain. As a kid, I would always go watch my dad play drums at his gigs yet I had no idea how that would affect my future at that point. Throughout school (K-12), I was a part of every musical outlet that I could get my hands on whether it was choir, chamber singers, band, marching band, school talent shows, musicals, college orchestra, hard rock bands with friends, NYSSMA for both vocals and drums etc. Since highschool, I've played and ventured into many different styles of music including classical, hip hop, r&b, hard rock, soul, funk, blues, metal/hardcore and jazz/fuzion. The best feeling about having all of this musical knowledge is the fact that I've been able to use it and make history now since I've been recording/playing shows for various bands of my own and various artists such as Murali Coryell, Sherley King (BB King's daughter), as well as BB King (March of 2008). I couldn't be happier to be a part of this first Fathom Down album and I intend to pursue more projects down the line with them in the near future as well as any other great musical opportunity that crosses my path.
